    Independent systems building

    Building products, engines, infrastructure, and AI systems with the freedom to follow a problem all the way down.

    2015 → present

    What changed

    The work became more end-to-end: from low-level performance and multiplayer protocols to products, open source, and AI-native tooling.

      • Designed a memory-minimal 4-Dimensional Grid traversal algorithm for pathfinding.

    Working across Search, Cortana, Bing Intelligence, and mixed-reality platforms.

    What changed

    Machine learning moved closer to the edge and into the interface itself, making relevance, latency, and consistency across devices part of the product problem.

    What changed

    The center of gravity moved from optimizing a rendering engine to designing complete platforms that had to remain compatible, secure, and dependable in production.

    Learned to make complex computation useful to people making decisions about real-world systems.
